Free Printable Daily Schedule Template
Updated October 8, 2026 · Free · No signup · A4 + US Letter
This daily schedule template is the hourly version of a daily planner: one column of time from 5 AM to 11 PM, a checkbox for done, and a full line for what the hour is actually for. It is the page to print when the day is full of fixed commitments and you want to see them all before they happen.
Parents juggling school runs, students mapping exam weeks, shift workers, anyone rebooting a routine — an hourly page makes the day visible in a way a checklist never does. Download the PDF in either colorway, print at 100% scale on A4 or US Letter, and block the day.
What's inside
- Hourly rows from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM — early shifts and late study nights both fit
- A checkbox per hour, because ticking a finished block is its own small reward
- Bold time labels so the page reads at a glance from across the desk
- One line per hour: enough for "dentist 9:00", too structured for journaling — that is what the daily planner is for
How to use it
- Fill the fixed hours first: work, school, appointments, commutes. What remains is your actual free time — usually less than you think, always more than nothing.
- Give the top priority of the day its own block before lunch. Mornings are where plans go to survive.
- Leave at least one hour empty on purpose. A schedule with zero slack breaks at the first traffic jam.
- Tick blocks as they end. The checkboxes turn an abstract plan into a progress bar for the day.
Printing it right
Download the file that matches your paper — US Letter or A4 — and print at 100% scale ("Actual size"), never "fit to page". Both files are drawn for their own paper, so the margins and line spacing land exactly where they should.
Tip: 100–120gsm paper (27–32 lb) stops pens ghosting through — and both colorways print fine in grayscale if you're saving ink. More in the printing guide.
Questions people ask
What times does the hourly schedule cover?
The rows run 5:00 AM through 11:00 PM — 19 rows. If your day starts earlier, print the page and write the hour in the margin; the lines are spaced for exactly this kind of surgery.
Is this different from the daily planner template?
Yes. The daily planner leads with priorities and adds a schedule; this page leads with the hours themselves. Use the schedule page for full, commitment-heavy days and the planner page for normal ones.
Can I use it as a weekly schedule too?
For a week at a glance, use the weekly schedule template — same idea with seven day columns. Printing seven of these daily pages works too, one per fridge-door day.
Does it work for kids' routines?
Families use it for summer schedules and homework hours all the time. The bold hour labels are readable for kids, and the checkbox per hour gives them the same tick-satisfaction it gives you.
